I have used HRBlock for many years and have always found it to be my tool of preference for filing my tax return. After selling my home in 2022 at a huge capital gain, I decided to use a CPA. Actually, I could have done it myself using HRBlock and avoided some issues when my return was filed LATE!. Never again. I will go with what I have trusted over the years.

I haave used H$R Block several years now as in the past I have found that the user interface was smooth and easy to use. That said the latest addition seemed to be rather clunky and not so intuitive. It seems that the program has been shrunk and the price has increased. It does the job but it is not as smooth as it once was.
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used TurboTax for a number of years, tried H&R this year and had a number of issue. Some can be blamed on not familiar with H&R style but some like not importing previous TurboTax form which it claims it can and not having clear instructions is not acceptable.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
