I bought the Fed + State package on line. The vendor offered a hard disc to be shipped. A day or so after the purchase, the vendor claimed shipping problems but said the software could be downloaded. The software worked fine but I believe the offer was an intentional misrepresentation. Filing on one return was delayed by a "gateway" problem.
Pros: Fast

I think it's time to switch to other tax prep apps. Found that there are people out there getting cheaper / free software (not the free version, but full deluxe version) and I was not able to get refund
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

Great for the feds, and for the state I reside in. I was disappointed to discover (after paying for state tax modules for states where I have non-resident income) that I would be unable to file those electronically.
State filing should also be free!!!
Cons: Hard to import documents

I’ve used the HRBlock tax program for over ten years and find it very straightforward and easy to use. I only wish I could purchase additional eFiles. When you have a large family sometimes you need more than five and it would be helpful if you could purchase additional eFiles like when I first started using the program.
