I have used HR Block since 2019. It has glitches. In tax year 2023, for some investment filings, it tells me to 'go see my tax accountant'. In the State package (MD), there are a few incomprehensible questions, I just have to guess. I am just a simple retired guy. I'll be looking for a better tax app in year 2024. PS: I have fought the Nickname box for 15 minutes now, geez.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve been using this tax program for years however this year was disappointing. Due to delays on H and R updates my taxes had to wait 3 weeks to be efiled! Also, the last update deleted a number so I had to go back and figure out what changed. Glad I noticed and could fix this glitch.

The software wasn't ready to be used when purchased, things didn't look right. Updates were not finished until 3/18, so couldn't file early. The interview questions can be confusing, needed to search online for tutorials other people prepared. It's an ok program because it did the job.
