I have used HR Block tax software for 20 years. I buy the download as early as possible each year and run a pro-forma return to validate my estimated tax payments. I have never paid more than a few hundred at filing and never had a penalty. Ease of use is superior as is data loading from last year’s return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

For the most part, the tax prep software seems to be comprehensive and accurate but I did have trouble using some of the features, such as importing documents and preparing estimated taxes. Those features either did not work or instructions were very confusing.
Cons: Hard to import documents

I needed a better option to do my taxes. I was very happy with how easy it was to use and how quickly I got my taxes done. I will Definitely use this software next year. I'm tired of the high fees that Liberty Tax, Jackson Hewitt.
