I've been buying deluxe package for years, and I always got the State. This year after I bought the deluxe package, I had to pay extra for the State. I felt cheated.

I found the user interface more complex than TurboTax. Saving the return and then returning to it to continue inputting data was difficult. The program always wanted me to start over. Now, this could be because I’m not a computer whiz, but I feel the software should be designed for “dummies “. Also, I feel that the program should have included a no-cost option to e-file a state return along with a free federal e-file return. It was cheaper for me to mail my state return than to e-file it.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

bought these programs from Office Max. these programs however do not offer state amended returns which makes it difficult to do as i have to download form from state and then fill out by hand. i would pay a little more for state if offered.
