need 1254 futures contract and publicly traded K-1

this is a five star review with some prodding to get the lower priced versions to handle 1254 futures contracts and publicly traded partnership(PTP)/llp and their K-1 .
HnR Block deluxe does everything I needed like stock trades and plain futures/options trades. I have used it for about 10 years! i switched when turbotax tried to make me buy Premier just for easier entry on Schedule D for trades reporting. HnR block is so much cheaper than Turbo Tax. I'm not even sure TT can handle 1254's and PTP K-1s either. if you don't need them you can definitely get the cheaper HnR Block software

I've used this software for years, but not once has the state e-filing worked. I am forced t print and mail my state returns every year. I always get some error about the PDF files created are not correct....

H&R Block software makes it difficult to submit some tax credits that one may be eligible for (i.e. the EV Charger tax credit). Turbo Tax prompts you for these credits so that you don’t have to fill it out on the 1040 manually. The price savings of H&R Block aren’t worth it if you might miss some valuable tax credits or deductions.
