I've used it more than once, i've never been audited, no idea if it's the highest refund, just don't want to be on the wrong side of the IRS and appears I never have. My only complaint is there are times, when you fill out the info as requested "from form X box Y" and then it comes back during the review and says "these numbers don't make sense"...well I'm not the CPA nor the one that wrote the software so you tell me why they're wrong
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

interface needs rewriting. apology needed for IRS

have used Block for many years (15+) and they are very good at producing accurate returns as they must do. But the navigation remains terrible and needs a complete do-over to a modern, intuitive system. It sucks and Block knows it and refuses to invest, just milk the product. I will move to turbo-tax next year. disaster this year as my return was rejected twice by IRS because of Block errors as was reported. Time to wake up Block--the lower cost is not worth the antique, archaic interface and this year's error on electronic submission.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Same bug as last year but there are workarounds…

Mac software crashes every time I tried to automatically upload a W2 as a PDF…. But otherwise if I did the manual entry it worked ok. I’ve used H and R every year for about a decade and had the same problem last year.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
