I have used HR block for many years without too many issues. The main being the cost of a second state and that it's not smart enough to interact between states. This year was the biggest issue without being able to electronically submit taxes in a reasonable time. Spent several hours over two days before getting taxes filed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve been using H&R Block tax software for many years I can truthfully say it is one of the best software packages I use. Each year I simply import the previous years file which starts my return with all necessary data. From that point I fill in the year’s numbers and done.
The software performs extremely good audit functions, address any issues and you are done.

I have used for years, it is straight forward for most parts, but I would like to see improvement on special situations like Tuition and 529 plans, with maybe better explanations of the "errors" found.
