This software program is easy to use and helps de-complicate the process. I like the issue check system when you’ve completed your taxes for the simple reason that if you made a mistake, it can be corrected before you file.

While trying to file taxes there was a bad gateway error that lasted a while. I had to waste a day trying to get it to go through while preparing to mail in my return. On top of that, there were a few tax situations that the HR block documentation did not cover and just suggested that I contact a tax professional; Intuits website covered these situations and between that and reddit figured out how to manually do it in the hr block software.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this the end of 2023. The download was straight forward and the installation went smoothly. The updates were easy to install. Importing previous year data was flawless and made the whole process easy since it takes care of carry forward items. Data entry was clear and import of some forms was easy. Submitting final forms and printing was as expected.

Can't Handle Investment Vehicles Ubuquitous Today

Surprise! I found out while I was doing my taxes that this software does not support limited partnerships trading on the exchanges. I needed to break out the pencil and paper and perform my own calculations. There is nothing about this bug in the literature or advertising. If I would have known this,.I would have retained an accountant rather than using the software.
Additionally, this software loves to flag nonexistent "errors" and forces you to waste time "correcting" what are really software bugs.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
