I have used H&R Block's software for the past 10 years and have never had a problem. Previously used a different tax software but once I switched to Block, I stayed. Used it for myself and both my parents. Only complaint is that they do not include one state submission for free. Especially if you don't need 5 federal submissions.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I was able to complete the taxes, but the program did not recognize the attachment was available. Also the uploading to the IRS kept failing unlike last year. I ended up placing documents in the mail.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the Deluxe version this year after using the Basic for many years. I felt that the Deluxe offered no more ease in completing my tax turn than the Basic version. I always have problems understanding how to fix issues when going through the Accuracy Review. I ended up just deleting the forms in question to proceed, not understanding if that was corrrect or not.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
