There are too many aspects of the tax code that are not sufficiently covered in the software. I am a retired Air Traffic Controller. Due to that some of the retirement tax laws for Public Safety Officers apply to me but not all. There is nothing in the software to address this. When importing 1099s from a brokerage there are 1099-DIV that are imported with zero values. When you go e-file it pops these up and says you need to correct or delete them since they are zero value. If they are zero value they should not have been imported in the first place.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AS A LONGTIME TURBOTAX USER I WAS A LITTLE APPREHENSIVE TO TRY SOMETHING NEW, HOWEVER I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISE WITH HOW MUCH EASIER H&R WAS TO USE. DID HAVE A LITTLE TROUBLE GOING BACK AND MAKING CORRECTIONS. COULDN'T SEEM TO EDIT THE SPECIFIC BOX BUT HAD TO START FROM SCRATCH. OTHERWISE A GREAT VALUE.

Software consistently and un expectedly shut down. Not easy to save to a specified location. Now charging to e-file the state chosen, which it had not previously. Not happy at all after using for several years.
