Overall the tax program worked as years past. Except this year I could not download my information from our financial institution even though it was on the list. I had to hand enter those which took additional time.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I've been a Block user for about 10 years, so I'm going to compare current vs previous versions. Previously, the Block software was very good with the Help material. This year and last year, not so good. Several times, I would have a form filled in with defaults, expecting me to confirm them and add a little more material. I might not understand a particular default and the Help option did not help. Having said that, I will say that the chat service was always very good for me.
You probably want an example. Okay. IRS pub 936 is about mortgages, interest, and taxes for a house. I did a Schedule A for my house and never once got an explanation about what was going on behind the scenes. Last year, the Block software did not handle the 936 form and I had to mail a paper copy in, so I was very sensitive to this item. I checked and crosschecked the numbers by hand and I think Block got it right, but I wanted to see a little clarifying information while I was doing it.

Because my divorce was final after the first of the year and there wasn't a question whether I had gotten divorced or if I had a name change my taxes were declined and I was still charged for your services even though I ended up taking them to an actual professional service since they were declined after several attempts.
