I have been using HRB deluxe for many years but this year there were a couple issues. Both were in the final error check process (federal) . One was related to reporting HSA expenditures. I forget the other . In both cases the issue was it reported a problem but did not indicate where to fix it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I tried to electronically file my federal and sate taxes and they were rejected. I had to mail in paper returns. However, I was still charged the state fee to file electronically and there is no process to request a refund. I also had problems last year with the returns being filed correctly. Next year, will try a different product.

I have used the H&R block software for year. The software does most of the work, I just need to plug in information, and a lot of that information I downloads it automatically. It does the calculations and alerts me to things I need to deal with.

Have been using HRB tax products for years. Program is very easy to use...as long as one has all the paper work and statements in line and ready to go.
One issue I have is that I can't use my computer to run the tax program because I'm running Windows 7. Not everybody keeps up with the lastest and greatest (?) M/S operating system. Therefore, had to use my wife's computer to do the tax returns.
Another issue I have...don't understand how the HRB tax program produces some of the values displayed. Total interest or total dividends...no problem. But with investment other income resources (with deductions or other)...those numbers get used in the program but don't know where or how they are used. Can't explain how values that show up on the forms are derived without knowing the number manipulation.

I think anybody that owns this product knows the issues they suffered at the tax deadline this year.It was unexceptable and never should have happened! Their reponse was insufficent and caused harm to their customers. That said, the underlying tax program remains useful,clear anr well done,but if i can not file my taxes on time it is of little value..I have used this product for years and never had an issue buit it may be time to seek other options

System down days before tax deadline was not able to complete nor pay what was owed online. Mailed in an days later tried system and it was up but after the fact. Refunds should be in order as product dud not preform as ecpected
