I have been using this product for over a decade now. I have always found it very effective and efficient for doing my own taxes. The price to purchase as well as file has gone up significantly and believe will have a hard time competing when the government gets their free Filing site User-friendly.

We purchased a H&R Block this year to try to have an option that made it easier without having to deal with TurboTax. We did my daughters super easy taxes for her first year of taxes that went well with H&R Block. But when we went to fill out our 40 as we’re going through it, it is asking us for things where we had to go through old tax records to find. There were several questions within H&R Block tax sheets online where we had no idea what they were really asking for and their explanation for that particular question did not clarify what we needed. At some point when we had to deal with a 1099 and a few other documents , the things they were asking for did not pertain to the ones we had. Not sure if we’ll use it again next year we may try to find another place for taxes or 1040 is pretty easy normally but we found this way more difficult than using other software for some reason , it was complicated. And took us twice as long.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
