I was not aware of what seems to be a new credit for real estate taxes for NY state. I had planned the balance between my income and tax withholding to break even at $0, which to me is a personal ideal wrt my tax filings; however this year H&R block found an additional credit that I would not have gotten if doing my simple taxes by hand.
Mind you, I don't know if other Tax SW packages would have also identified this real-estate tax credit.

I've been using this product for more than a decade. This was the first year I had issues. The tools and resources provided were not adequate and I found myself beyond frustrated trying to resolve issues before the deadline.
