I will never use H&R block software again after several issues with trying to submit taxes but servers were constantly down. I almost had to submit my taxes late or mail them in at the last minute. When you purchase software for a specified purpose of submitting taxes the H&R block servers should be working without issues. It created a great deal of stress that should never have occurred if the servers were maintained correctly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I went to file my taxes electronically on the final Tax Day the program went belly up and I had to print out all the forms and mail them in. Definitely not what I paid for.

I like the fact that if you buy or sell some stock you dont have to buy a mote expensive version. I dont like that the program is added on to every year with no real kind of simplification for straightforward taxes. And i was one of those it took 2 days to submit my taxes. Still happy but mostly since I worked in the tax department of a local law firm and know a lot about taxes.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
