I can’t enjoy giving a company money to fill out a form that they then take to ensure the form remains difficult to complete. The IRS already knows all the information we give it. Other countries make this a very simple process so that you don’t have to pay a third party. There is no value knowing the money I pay this company is then taken to bribe the government to ensure this business stays around.

I used this software to file my taxes. Everything was going okay, but when I went to file it kept erroring, so I kept trying to submit. I didn't realize it actually went through until I received an email that it was submitted. I was nervous I wasn't going to be able to file BUT they did say they would make sure I would be okay if I was unable to file on April 15th due to their error.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I've used H&R for a number of years.
The good: imports previous years, asks useful questions. Has a review.
Could be improved:
* Not all blanks work with cut and paste. Should always be able to paste in any value except perhaps personal identifiers.
* Better navigation to and from forms. I should be able to go to a relevant form from a page that references it without having to search for it. I should also be able to return to a section, such as income, without having to start over. Options might include: returning to last unfilled item in a section, leaving a bookmark or reminder of a page that needs filling out, remembering last location I was at in a section.
* I think the default name for a saving a State pdf form does not include the name of the state.

Will be going back to TurboTax. This year the software wants to throw errors out and no explanation on how to rectify. Would not let me edit the form. So frustrating.
