I buy as soon as it is released each year and file both federal and state electronically as soon as updates allow completion. Had to wait this year because the software told me the IRS was not yet able to receive a form I needed to file.

I bought in December and filed in February. I was constantly delayed because their software was not up to date. I wasn’t able to file until almost April…. The constant need for an update and then the update not being adequate was beyond annoying. I would not recommend this to anyone who has bought an EV and looking to get the tax credit.

I have used H&R software for federal filings for over 12 years. The 2023 version was the most cumbersome version to-date. It was not user friendly and difficult to.navigate. i will likely use a competitor when preparing 2024 taxes.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
