I've been using H&R tax return for a number of years. Have tried the others, but this is the easiest and fastest to use, however, I have one complaint. Those of us in retirement with RMD would like it more clear and easy to access the amount for Charitable Distributions using the RMDs.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Could never get assistance with print functionality. They sort of tried for a couple of weeks but lost interest in getting it to work. My configuration is very standard windows 11 new system with plenty of memory and disk space but they could never figure it out. I asked a couple of time for a refund or exchange for software that I know works (turbotax) but they acted like they had gone deaf. DO NOT BUY INTO THEIR SOFTWARE!
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this product and its predecessor for more than 20 years. I am very please with the year-to-year compatibility and the import functions but the help features tend to be pretty useless -- often referring to IRS documents that are readily available or such terse explanations that they are unhelpful. Trying to get a human is close to impossible.

I had one problem entering repayment of social security income. I called support two different times. The kind of ignored my issue because I think it would require rewriting there online code so I could properly enter credit. Also I could never figure out how to insert an extra form.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
