Been using for 11 years this is the first year I as not happy with the software. Took too long for certain forms to be available. One form fo the home charger was not even available, causing me to paper file an amended return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Verified Purchase:Yes
Massachusetts program carried non Massachusetts income from the federal return. This caused an overstatement of income thus resulting in a higher tax bill. I had to take return to an accountant. Federal tax return was accurate. Not happy with fact I paid for the inaccurate state return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I've used H&R Block for years, but over the years, the hype of how much work it saves the taxpayer is overdone. It's not nearly as "smart" as one may be led to believe, but after the return is done, you may have to go back and refine what it missed. It has monumental issues importing documents. It still beats out the others.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

This software product totally failed me. It lost complete copies of returns, placed data on the wrong lines of the form, and miscalculated taxes. I've had to submit corrected 1040X
Federal returns, and I submitted hand-prepared paper state returns. Phone calls for assistance were futile. Total software failure.
