I have used Block tax software for years having long ago abandoned Turbotax for Block because Block represented a better value. However, the decline in Block software this year was exponentially greater than in past years, especially regarding my state package. I actually submitted my state tax return with errors because Block could not/would not correct them in a timely manner. By then, the errors were not going to affect the bottom line of my tax return. I would have been better off completing my tax return by hand on paper. I even called Block to point out the errors and was told that I was not the only customer complaining of mathematical errors. I will not purchase Block tax software again and will return to Turbotax going forward.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
