The federal return was excellent as usual but the state program (Alabama) did not compute retirement pay, which is excluded in Alabama, correctly. Usually good, but the state program required an update and then had to figure out on my own how to do something the previous programs did automatically. Hope you get it straight next year. .

I have been using TAXCUT for over 15 years. However, this year when I went to submit 2 returns for my adult children on 4/15/24, the servers were down. I had to scramble, print, envelope and rush to post office in the late afternoon. Not happy.

I have used this product for over 15 years and have never had any problems. It takes only a few minutes to complete my taxes because everything is brought in from the previous year. I have no W2, only SSA and Pensions, which hardly change. My taxes are very simple and all I need is Basic plus state. I have never found such a combination and it is too expensive to purchase the state later so I aways use the Deluxe+state.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I generally like the product a lot. One area that could use improvement is in the part that handles side income. The text could explain more Bout exactly how to determine the type of side income. This was the first time I have done side income and found it very unclear.
