My gazillionth year of using H&R Block. I am very pleased with it. In most every situation it clearly explains what (data) is needed and why. It walks my through the entries for my silent partnership in a straight forward manner.
A suggestion: I am new to RMDs world et al, and I think it could be streamlined a little. For instance, the program knows my birthday and my 1099-R's. Omitting rollovers, it could total relevant distributions for use in the RMD section. With my birth date, it could calculate the required RMD.

We have used H and R Block for several years. We love how it updates our new return and provides simple questions to answer. One flaw: The 'help' box is only for IRS questions; there is no help for the software and its processes.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

User friendly and particularly appreciate the import feature. There was a glitch this year in that the AGI that both the software and I both had was apparently different than what was filed and in the IRS records, so had to work around that, hopefully a one-time anomaly.

I purchased the 2025 version of the Tax software based on my experience from the previous year. However, I was very disappointed. The 2025 software had many bugs, not very well tested, many of the import tools did not work correctly and my state e-file was missing the electronic fund transfer details. The support team member I contacted told me that the information will be part of the e-file but it was not. Very unhappy with the product this time. Will reevaluate my decision of using the software next year.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I have used H&R Block software for many years. I only have 1 comment. This year it didn't help me with the withdrawal of 401K funds for when I hit age 73. Please build that in.
