I've used H&R Block Deluxe tax software for years now. I have several tax situations that aren't common - I hold the mortgage on a house I sold and I am an ordained minister so tax filing requirements are modified. The interview questions make sure I provide the needed information for the software to correctly calculate my taxes. Built-in help is useful. The audit meter is reassuring and audit support seems superior to that provided by other tax software companies. Clear guidance for taxpayers who sell their life insurance policy, as I did in 2023, would be a great addition.
