I have been using this product for taxes for at least 5 years. After gathering the information and entering it, I found that I needed to take the standard deduction. The effort I took to gather and enter my medical expenses was unnecessary. I would prefer if the tax software would give you clearer instructions to determine if the itemization effort is really necessary,

I use this to do three very different types of returns. One return has one W-2 and some banking interest. It take very little time to complete this federal and state. I like that information transfers from the federal to the state automatically. This makes doing the state so much easier andf faster to do. The other return has numerous income sources including pension, IRA distribution, rollovers and complex investment income. I like that the program fills out other auxiliary forms for you. The third return has income including investments, social security and interest.
The program can import your last year's income tax info and save you time by not having to retype a lot of information. The program asks questions and routes you through the process appropriately. There are links on most screens to clarify terms or provide helpful information. The error checking feature is wonderful as it provides a list of items to review if necessary.
I like that 5 federal filiings are free. I like that I can file my state tax via the program. The notification process showing the status of the returns happens in hours or by the next day.
