I have used H&R Block tax software for twenty years. It is easy to use and allows me to import all relevant data from my prior year's return. The software seamlessly transfers data from my federal return to my state return. It also reviews each and identifies potential errors.
I feel safe and confident that the return is accurate. I am only disappointed in the price. I will be looking and comparing alternate methods next year.
Been using H&R block software for probably a decade. I usually buy it when you have your early bird specials. Over the years my taxes have become simpler, now basically a easy 1040 with no real deductions. The price for the software for most is reasonable. Looking over my situation maybe FREE software might be an option. Believe New York allows you to file free using their software. Plenty of free federal return filing is available. Like the Federal being imported to the State return (saves time). What I don't like is that you can only submit 5 Federal returns Free. My children use the software for their returns as does my brother-in-law. For the price I would think being a long time user a very special rate should be offered to keep me and others wanting to purchase your software. We'll see what offers 2024 will bring. It is a reliable and good software.
I have no complaints with TaxCut. Easy to use. What I really like is that they make the program available at the end of the year, usually mid-November, so that I can estimate taxes for the year in question, so that I can take action before the end of the current year.
