I have used h&R block tax prep software for many years. Generally, it works pretty well. However, this year I was highly frustrated in the extended period of time it took for the program to be completed to be able to calculate a penalty for underpayment. This in turn caused me to file my taxes about a month later than I otherwise would have, which as We know increased potential risks of fraudulent filings getting ahead of mine. They did fix the problem just before the April 15th deadline, but they better pay more attention to this for next year or I will consider going to a different tax prep software. Also, that tax software incorrectly calculated my state under withholding penalty. A few weeks after I filed my return, I got a refund from the state in the amount of the underpayment penalty calculated by h&R block software.
I would recommend this to a friend!
