Disappointed with H&R Block Deluxe 2023 Software

First my name is Fred and not Carol. I did buy the software and did my tax return. My problem was I had to wait till March before I could file to get my refund because the forms were not ready. I never had to wait when I used Turbo Tax. You also send me a form to participate in a reward program. I filled it out and tried to file it but you would not accept the upload so something was not working correctly. Very disappointed with your product. Not worth the price savings if product has issues.
Pros: Easy to import documents

For the first time since using H&R tax software for years, something must not have worked correctly this time. The Where's My Refund page shows that my return was Accepted, but it still hasn't been approved almost 3 months later.

I abhor the personal data privacy practices as detailed in the product and can’t understand why this company feels they can share the world over to anyone they see fit. Disgusted… otherwise is very good product. Would never recommend due to the data issue.

Overall H&R Block Deluxe is a very good product. Overall it is easy to use and efficient. However, there were a few items that I had to go into the actual data sheets that got flagged and I had to correct. Some of these should have been handled by the regular interview pages as the average tax payers are not going to understand the issues with the data sheets/forms. If they need to engage a tax person to understand, then why bother purchasing the product. But in my case, I could understand the issue after a bit of research. The primary reason I choose this product over the competitors is due to cost. As long as this product is offered at a much more attractive price I will potentially continue with it. But if not, then the competitors come back into play.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Been using H&R for years and only 1 issue, inherited IRA RMD for 2023, and it is now fixed. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 on accuracy. Fix was after I sent in my taxes but I was aware of the issue and adjusted for it.
