This was the third consecutive year that I've uses HR Block software. I think the interview process has improved from year to year. Of course, I could be getting more familiar with program as well. I have some mineral royalties and foreign sourced investment dividends the the program handles but requires me to check out the IRS website.
Pros: Easy to import documents

I purchased the deluxe software and it is very good program. Easy to use and understand. It also was easy to efile both federal and state forms. I had a refund from both in about 10 days.

Have used this soft ware for 15 years plus. Some error in the math that the program did not catch left me owing $201.31 - a first. 2023 was complicated. Will contontinur to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I have used the Deluxe program for my taxes for ten years or more with confidence. I once tried to use your competitor’s Deluxe tax program several years ago only to discover that their Deluxe program would not cover the same tax areas without prompting me that I must upgrade to the next higher Premium tax program in order to calculate Rentals and Royalties So, I then came back to H&R block Deluxe — a simple to use program having great value.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
