Never had an issue with software the format is what I preferred for years. The software download easy to complete. The completed program checks for accuracy and allows who to make updates to documents easy

I am a long time user of H&R Block for tax returns. Software itself is reasonably priced and it is easy to use. The more complicated issues are sometimes difficult to use. One thing came to my mind was the latest version can not figure out my underpayment penalty. It kept asking me to wait for the next update when deadline was approaching. I decided to ask IRS to calculate my penalty and file my return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have used H & R Block for several years. It works well for most situations and is accurate and relatively easy to use. However, there are some situations that it does not handle well and sometimes there are others that can cause trouble. An example of what is not well handled and could be better is how income from federal government securities (non-taxable in most states) is conveyed into the state form.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
