I've been using this software for 12 years in a row (more with a brief trial of another brand). I've been able to import the past years data without issue. The ability to import the W2 in several ways has been helpful when helping my kids get their taxes e-filed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have been using this program for years. The MA state return could use some updates. The Heath Insurance ID codes should not be required to file online. I mail them without the codes.

I've used H&R Block for about 5 years. The interface is easy to use after you initally get used to it. I don't see an easy to use assistance for Crypto but I hope they improve this for the 2024 software.

I use this tax software every year and find it very easy to use, I like that it remembers the previous year's information and prefills much of the routine profile data and knows where my investments were. All I need to do is update the current year's information.

It works great until you find a bug in it that totally throws the whole thing off. Somewhere around mid to late March it magically got patched. So here I am chasing my tail for weeks trying to understand why the numbers are wrong. It also turns out with the software that you have ZERO access to a human being for support. All that talk to a tax expert stuff is only for the online product.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
