I've used H & R Block (formerly "Tax Cut"), tax software for over 20 years. It been accurate and for the most part easy to use. I would recommend it as a reasonably priced alternative to using a paid tax preparer.

I have used H&R Black software for tax filings many years. It is an easy to use, convenient and reliable product for filing tax returns, paying taxes, and amending returns. Being able to download W-2 and 1099s are great features. Refunds are also processed quickly.

It's tax software. I don't know all the tax code so how would I even know if it is doing the math and applying the rules correctly? Honestly, in terms of the ACCURACY of the software, no user could answer it it. I would say that the software ease of use is average. Quite often the software directs me back to a form to an answer a question that should have been automatically completed by the interview process (it doesn't do a complete "consequences of my interview answer" on the form). Also, for a NY BIO Fuel form, I was basically dropped onto an online version of the paper form with no instructions. That's a complete absence of assistance (when the express purpose of buying tax software is get that very assistance.
