H&R Tax Software has been my go to software for a long time. The clear instructions have been very helpful. It is especially nice to know when future updates are scheduled as well. On two occasions it has walked me through the process of filing an amended return as well.

Before I retired I was a CPA and prepared hundreds of income tax returns. Once I retired I did not have access to the tax software that had previously used. At the suggestion of a friend I purchased H&R Block tax software to use in preparing my own income tax return. I found it very easy to use and very accurate. I have now used this software for nearly 10 years. I’m very happy with it.

Cost keep going up yet I still have go back repeatedly to correct "errors" that don't really seem to be there. In addition the "Deluxe + State" software charges you to file your state tax! Will be looking at alternatives this year.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
