I bought this every year for at least 20 years it is good except when I want to print just my federal 1040 I end up getting a dozen + pages and most of them don’t have anything but zeroes on them. A big waste of paper and ink. Next year I’m gonna try turbo tax.

The 2023 NJ State program was flawed. It could not handle the situation where 1 spouse was over 62 and the other not. It basically skipped a step in the interview and produced an incorrect return. When I called support, the only solution they could give be was to do an override, which would have prevented electronic filing. I wound up completing and filing my state return online directly with the state.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

For a quarter century I have used this software. (in the start it was called Tax Cut." It is especially useful since it has become available in November for that year's taxes. It allows me to determine the amount of funds to be pulled from my IRA and minimize tax liability.

Very detailed program. In fact, it is more detailed then I need. For the past three years I have not had enough deductions to file an itemized return. I wish there was a way to just click on a button and take the standard deduction without going through the whole program.
