I have used this H&R product for 10years. This was the first year where I had to wait until almost the end of March for the update I needed to file. Other tax products did not have this issue.
I've been using this software to prepare my taxes for several years now. It is easy to navigate, and takes you through questions to determine if you need to enter something or not. I also like having the audit support just in case.
I keep buying H&R tax software because it's the best value. It simply gets the job done, and they seem to think of everything. But it's not very intuitive and may not be the easiest to use.
Nothing special about the software. The best thing is uploading last years information. If I didn't have to investigate some of the possible deductions I would have gone with the free edition.
Good software with very little questions that I had. Was a bit confusion on my input of dividends but was able to figure it out. One thing I don't understand is why it cost extra to file my state return more than I paid for the software. I thought the price of the state filing was included in the price but no.
I like the minimalist nature of the program. It is easy to use and pretty self explanatory. Major weakness is the update process which is often a hit or miss. Every year I have to go to the website and download instead of through the application.
The software was easy to install and use. It guided me through the various steps, and then verified the information entered. The submission of the return, and updates on the status were very efficient.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
