Generally easy to follow step by step format. Like that it reloads previous year general info. Some special things like including an RMD were not real clear.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

In the past I didn't pay penalties for occasional withdrawal. It was in the program. This year I thought it was done the same way but just got a bill from the IRS for more than $200 in penalties. Looking for a new program for 2024 taxes.

Was disappointed that I could not complete my forms unto Feb 22 because of an undisclosed update problem. It allowed my state tax fee to be charged on my original attempt on Feb 16 but would not let me file for some undisclosed reason. Very frustrating though I was not double charged it was confusing and very frustrating

As a retired tax professional with block for 23 years I find this program a bit confusing. I understand the transference of the numbers but would be much happier if it showed the actual tax forms. That said I would buy no other.

They make it seem like they're selling you an all in one to prepare and file both your federal and state returns but then only one of them is free to for and you still have to pay to actually file the other
