I found this application easy to use. I have been using tax software for over 15 years and it is easy to follow for even beginners. I just dont see how people go to tax preparers when you can do it yourself. I understand some times you need assistance but for the average tax claims, you can do it yourself

Consistently accurate and easy, year after year

I don't trust online prep services with my data, and I need to take several days to get them done. I can easily pick up exactly where I was, and go back and check or fix something.
More important: several years ago a tight-fisted friend tried out all the various prep software, and found that Block got him the best refund.
I've had complex refunds in the meantime, and my returns have passed all scrutiny, with the exception of one, where it turned out it was a mistake in my own record-keeping. IRS demanded I remit an 'adjustment' ASAP, so obviously had a question for Block. I got IN-PERSON help right away. I mean, immediately! In an age of insanely annoying AIs that answer the phones, Block has real people.

I only have one suggestion: The s/w needs to tell you what your standard deduction will be, and help you weigh the worth and work of itemizing.

Mac Version Installation Always Fails for State

Every year for the past several years, and after purchasing the "Deluxe & State" version for MacOS, I have had to call support to get a link sent to me so I can download the state version to install it. I don't understand why the download for this just doesn't get downloaded with the Federal version. It takes up precious time when having to call support each year. The product is otherwise okay for electronically filing my simple to do taxes as a senior.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
