Messed up the NYS tax return form by not capturing

I'm glad you finally fixed the NYS form where you weren't capturing the city tax and all my clients were getting hit with no refund but having to owe them.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I've been using H&R Block tax software for several years and that's because it's intuitively easy to use and directs me to the appropriate section, if needed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Been using for a few years. Price keeps going up. Great for import of previous year, and PROVIDED that program is still installed, can open that previous year. If not, you have to pay. Not great if you get a new hard drive, or computer and did a digital download. Have to pay to electronic file State. I just print and use States free file site. So, overall it has problems making it cost ineffective. Free filing software and sires negates value of this product. Only could recommend if you itemize, or try and claim various credits most don't get.

Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I buy the Federal and State software every year. It walks you through the whole return process by asking questions. The down side is that you get charged to file your state return online(Arizona) and it’s not user friendly to go to the state website and do it for free. Sometimes importing documents doesn’t work.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

It is accurate as long as your data entries are accurate also. Only issue I've uncovered is it shouldn't charge your CC until EVERTHING checks-out OK, including the Software Passcode. Had issue that I was charged already but then found-out my Passcode was invalid due to typo. Should never happen. Warn me of the disconnect before you charge!
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
