Overall a great program. Three annoying problems are: (1) November early edition has heavy red warning like "NOT FOR FILING" across page multiple times that make it hard to read end-of-year estimated tax calculations. Problem goes away with January update. (2) Cannot file with multiple IRA exclusions (rollover, QCD, Roth conversion). Had to print and snail mail 2022 return to IRS with simple sentence regarding RMD exemptions. Program should create the simple sentence for the IRS. (3) Program does not allow reordering of items such as 1099 info for interest, dividends, contributions etc. Only way to reorder items is to delete and reenter in desired order.
Pros: Easy to prepare

It asks questions out of sequence from the way people think and store info. For example, the first thing most people want to work on is income but its almost the last thing they ask about. ITS A COMPUTER PROGRAM! It doesn't matter how you put the info in, it organizes it. The most important thing is accuracy but the #2 thing is user experience -- Block does not do well in this aspect.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare
