The Deluxe software offers all I need to complete tax filing. It's easy to use and if there is any section that needs additional information, it is flagged before filing. I've used this program for many years and consider it money well spent. E-Filing is included, and it is a breeze as well.

Adequate function, but klunky to import from Quick

Been using both Quicken and HRB Deluxe for well over a decade. I keep hoping they'll improve their interoperability with Quicken, but it hasn't gotten any better. I'd like to be able to teach HRB how different Quicken accounts and "payees" (payers) should be mapped into banks and investment institutions for interest, dividends, etc. And once this is taught, it should be carried forward in HRB's files from one year to the next. That would go a long way to making HRB more competitive than TurboTax.
I admit I do appreciate the more favorable price of the HRB product. This is the reason I haven't given it up in favor of TurboTax.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Started out with ZERO idea about what I was doing (the ex used to prefer doing all of it themself), and H&R Block's software just gently guides you through everything, including whether or not you should itemize, and allows you to e-file with no stress at all.
