Except for the section dealing with RMD's ..... This software was great, thorough, and detailed enough for me to easily understand. I will use this software again next year. Hopefully, the RMD section will be more clear, detailed, and understandable ..... I highly recommend the H&R Block Deluxe Edition, especially for Seniors like myself.

Works like most other tax software programs. Not as easy to use as Turbo Tax (which I have used for the past 24 years) but gets the job done. Would still preferr Turbo Tax but they stopped offering disks or even downloadable software. Screw that, never 100% on the "cloud" for tax preparation.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy for the easy file. Hard to find help with new

Bought a tiny amount of stock to see if the company would turn around. It didn't. First time I needed to post a capital loss. Does the software make it easy? It's easy to post capital loss CARRYOVER, but capital loss is a completely different story. I had to go online to find out what IRS form it would go on... then find what interview section is supposedly regarding that form... then find that it expects a 1099 for capital gain... but the interview doesn't automatically handle capital loss very clearly.
