I have used H&R Block tax software for several years and I am perfectly comfortable doing my own taxes even in years when my tax situation has been more complex. I love the fact that I can import the previous year’s data and only have to update the information that changes year after year. I always feel confident and “safe” after the program does the final review and electronically submits my return. I usually file on the first day the IRS accepts returns and have my refund long before my friends have even met with their tax preparers.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

The rep was very polite, professional and helpful. I called to get my software download as I had not yet received it. It took almost 50 minutes to get this done due to whatever problems the rep was having with the download link.
In addition, a couple of years ago, I enrolled into the yearly auto draft. My bank account has been charged each year but I have always had to call to receive the software.
I want to unenroll in this program. The rep said there would be an option to do this once I installed the software and prepared my return. There is no such option and I do not want to spend another hour on the phone getting uninvolved from the yearly auto draft

Cons: Time consuming
