As a former Block tax pro, I like the way the tax software mirrors Blockworks; in fact, I prefer the step by step interview process of the software over that of Blockworks where you sometimes have to look for the topic(s) to be addressed in an individual tax return.

My primary reason for purchasing HR Block tax software now is history. I can pull in the demographic data from the previous year and I don’t have to enter it. That’s basically it. With the multitude of “free” services I’d be inclined to go that route if I wasn’t lazy.
