A little bit confusing this year.

I have been using your software all the way back to Tax Cut. It's USUALLY a breeze doing the taxes. This year, I found things confusing with some of the nomenclature. It flew over my head. It didn't seem as simplified as it has been back in the past. Two areas ... the name-matching on 1099-R forms and whatever. It was hard to find info on that. The other is in the RMD area for IRA's ... so muchstuff in there was hard to follow. Nonetheless, I always will use this software in the future.

Been using it over 40 years .
Be aware however..... if your Federal is rejected and you E-file both. Just remember the state is on hold and you D NOT need to e-file again. The software does not stress this.I was charged twice for state E-file because when I corrected the Federal I did as they said and went back through the E-file process which included both

Unnecessary roadblocks

I had two state returns to file with my federal. One of the returns gave: "The forms you need to complete your Colorado tax return aren't ready yet. So, you can't print your return right now. We're currently working with the Colorado tax office to finalize these forms. They should be available as part of your next Colorado software update." So I waited for the next Colorado update and installed it. I am still getting the same message. Turns out I can bypass this PRINT option and e-file my Colorado return today- just can't print the forms. Also, e-filing another state after already e-filing my federal and one state, is not intuitive. One must use the "Take Me To" button and check "4. File> E-file State Return Separately"
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

This is the 3rd year using HR Block after 10 years of TurboTax. I am very satisfied with my switch to HR Block. Both programs have their strong points but frankly HR Block has many more. Once you use this programming the reason you'll continue to use HR Block become obvious.
