H&R Block provides an easy to use platform to submit Federal and State tax returns. The easy to follow questions and helpful explanations make the tax software the best, in my opinion. And it doesn't hurt that the software is more affordable than a popular competitor.

I purchased and downloaded the Deluxe+State on November 27, 2024 when I thought I was getting a great price but discovered I could have saved a few dollars by waiting but the simplicity of buying it on-line was worth the it. I have been using H&R without any issues for so many years now that I no longer dread doing my taxes. I find it easy to use and simplifies the filing and tracking of my returns.

Easy to use, the software guides you through the process from beginning to end. Would be perfect if it weren't for some serious math errors in the software. The absolute biggest error is in how it mishandles 1098 forms (home mortgage interest) when your mortgage gets sold from one bank to another. It treats the two 1098 forms you get (one from each bank) as TWO separate mortgages, adding the outstanding balances together and then you lose part of your interest deduction because the software did not handle the 1098's properly.
