We use the H&R Block software for years. It makes tax return process a breeze. What keeps us loyal to this program is familiarity. The reason for the four star rating is we don't feel that our long-term loyalty is noticed. We never received any discount code, and the promotional 15% discount offered to everyone is still hardly affordable for us, very low income family. We are entitled for a free tax return, and yet we keep buying H&R program - because we love the ease and reliability of it.

I like the program overall and have used it for several decades now. My only complaint is that when I do my Colorado state return Tax Cut doesn't carry over the charitable deductions I entered on my Federal return. Otherwise it works GREAT!

I have been using your software for about 10 years or so. I think it is very easy to use and accurate. However, there is one area you could improve. The reporting of one's RMD is confusing. I would like it to ask how much are you required to withdraw and how much did you withdraw. To me the way you have it is very confusing.

Worked well for Federal but not too good for state. It didn't use the state worksheet for Long Term Care insurance. The interview had instructions that my premiums were not deductible but by using the worksheet in the official state paper form, I saved lots of money.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
