I've been using this program for years, and it's a timesaver to upload last years return and import name, address, ss, etc. One thing that seems strange is it does not save non-deductible IRA basis cost.
I've been retired for several years withdrawing money from my IRA's, but I haven't contributed to IRA's for over 20 years, so I completely forgot about reducing my taxes by including some of this non-taxable basis cost. Seems like the program could do a better job of remembering this number from the 8606 form, and reminding me when to use it when withdrawing form my IRA's

There were a couple of glitches but the program worked well. The program told me I had and input error but it was a programming issue. It also told me I had a greater than normal audit risk for my 95 year old mother in law with no tax due and no refund due.
The program would be a lot more user friendly if there was some tech support.

Glitch in the software

I had to speak with the software department of the H&R Block and manually override some contributions and paid SC taxes and delete the form itself in order to e-file, it was giving me error messages to fix the issues over and over again. The last person I spoke with, Morgan, was very helpful. She has patience and knowledge to work with clients. The person who transferred my call to her did not say any word before transferring Morgan. At the end, everything worked out. I hope data and personal information will be secured. Thanks.
