Excellent software for 2024 tax preparation. I’ve been a customer for many years and in the past it’s been good but experienced random software freezes. Not this year. Also I did my first Roth conversion in 2024 with estimated tax payments so I was scared how to report that. To my surprise, it was pretty easy with H&R Block.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Been using HR Block Deluxe fore over 20 years, good product. My only complaint is I pay estimated taxes each quarter. On the FED program very easy to input, not so on State. I don't itemize deductions so it took me over an hour to determine how to enter on state, should be an area on State to input.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have been using H&R Block deluxe software for at least 10 years. It's very user-friendly and it makes doing my taxes very easy. With the ability to file five federal tax returns, my family members are able to take advantage of that benefit. As a retiree with investments, I'm able to download the software before the end of the tax season and know my tax liability. This has saved me a lot of money by being able to maximize withdraws at the least possible tax liability. I believe H&R Block tax software is very cost-effective and a great value.
