I have been using H & R Block Tax software for years. It is user friendly, accurate, and there is good backup for any questions, should they arise. I feel very confidant when using the software. Not exactly what I would call user friendly. Several topics say to refer to IRS instructions to see if it applies to you? Shouldn't it be asking questions rather than you having to look up the info.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Why pay to file state return electronically?

I find the software very helpful; however, I fail to see why I be am charged extra to file a state return when I already paid for the upgraded software, and my state, ND, does not charge to electronically file a
state return. In fact, they encourage tax payers to file electronically. Seems like price gouging to me.
