I had to file 2 states along with my Federal, as I have done for years. This year it won’t let me e-file my Missouri return for some reason. I even talked to someone at H&R Block that said it should be fixed in the next update that was coming out the next day. It wasn’t. I guess I am going to need to print and mail it this year. Not very happy about it.

Very inferior to TurboTax

This was very difficult to use compared to Turbo Tax. It did not prompt me to enter my taxpayers pin. Very difficult to fill out form 2210
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Suggestions: add Pre-interview + improve query's

Fed software is great if you've used it previously, less so it you're a newbie. Have 2 suggestions for improvement:
(1) a quick "pre-interview" or a list so newbies know what information and documentation is TYPICALLY required to begin a federal return. It doesn't have to handle every case as long as the minimum typical case is available.
My son, who lives 20 mi away, had to make 2 round trips to complete the federal form and another 2 for State, 4 total. Newbie (esp.) customers are frustrated by not knowing what documentation or information is typically required. A quick pre-interview (preferred) or list can help make things much easier, especially for newbies.
(2) Improve queries to allow use of common phrases consistently. For example, "Refund Property Tax" should result in the same links as the phrase as "Property Tax Refund" but it isn't. The second phrase opens far more unrelated links because I believe the first term in the phrase is prioritized and successive phrases are proportionately de-prioritized. Instead search the overall phrase for individual keywords. "Refund" would be prioritized in an improved query structure,
